We visited the new monkey exhibit. There is a place where kids can climb a huge tower just like a monkey and Quinn, Lucy, and Larkin had a blast.

Hold on to your hats, this will be a LONG one!
My Sunday last week was so crazy busy that blogging was just not going to happen. I kept thinking I would sit down sometime during the week and write something but alas, it was not to be. I don't know how life as become so full lately - I guess all the "little" things I am involved in just all came together in the first part of November and hit me with the force of a tornado....So, I will try to recreate the last two weeks of non-stop:
Monday, November 8th, we went camping one last time before winter set in. Temperatures were very mild and we had a lovely time at Cuivre River State Park located about an hour's drive north of the city. The dogs have become quite the adventurers. So much so that whenever they see us heading towards the garage together, or when the car is brought up to the back door for loading, they are very excited because they suspect a road trip of some kind. Here they are in the back of the Element ready to go camping.

Brrrr - November is here

It was kind of a mixed-up week. We did our weekly grocery shopping on Monday afternoon instead of Wednesday morning to accommodate Sam Carpintero who needed to get her groceries earlier than later. Civic Orchestra rehearsed on Wednesday night rather than Tuesday because the rehearsal building had a conflict. AND, we had another orchestra rehearsal last night - our dress for the concert tonight. It was also a full week: the temple on Tuesday morning, printing last-minute concert tickets Tuesday afternoon, helping out at a zone conference Thursday morning, Steve going on visits with the bishopric Thursday night, Carondelet string quartet rehearsal Friday morning (we have THAT concert next weekend so we are practicing every week leading up), having Emily, Larkin, AND Fiona the cat hang out at our place Friday morning while their home was being treated for fleas, going to pottery Friday afternoon, participating in a Carondelet park clean up Saturday morning, and helping a rather cantankerous, hoarder old lady unpack boxes Saturday afternoon. We did manage to go on two walks with the dogs and take one bike ride during the week. We are trying to get back into that routine now that the temperatures are not so hot. On our bike ride, we passed by this parked car. Check out the plate expiration date!!! We see this all over the city. The flagrant disregard for traffic laws is just ridiculous.
